The house was very comfortable, well-situated and really perfect for a low-key Fourth of July weekend. It was incredibly close to Williamstown and within easy driving distance to Tanglewood and other Berkshires attractions. Kate is very easy to deal with and left maps and info about local attractions - plus, the internet worked very well!

We had a wonderful time and stay at the cottage. Perfect location and family friendly accommodations.

Great farmhouse with everything we needed for our family to enjoy our trip. It's quiet and secluded even though it's on hwy 7 because it's tucked away in the woods. We were able to use both the kitchen and the BBQ outside and it was close to Williams college. Appreciate the history behind the farmhouse and would stay there again. Thanks Kate!

My friends and I stayed at Kate's lovely home for the weekend. Kate was very concise in providing me all the information prior to my trip. The house itself was gorgeous, situated very conveniently and we had a great weekend. Thanks Kate!
Communicating with Kate was very prompt and easy. She made herself available by email and phone. The house was as advertised, with a lot of character and was able to accommodate our rather large group very well! Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. The kitchen was well stocked and we made full use of the charcoal grill and smoker. The big backyard was perfect for hanging out and enjoying the outdoors. We would definitely consider staying here again for a trip to Williamstown and the surrounding area. Thanks Kate!
We just returned from a 4 night stay. Loved the layout of this house with it's north and south bedroom wings, and the large living room (with wood stove) in-between. Vaulted ceilings throughout and outside there's plenty of flat lawn space to let the kids runabout while you're barbecuing on the deck. Our 3 year old's "favorite" attraction was the old Ford 1500 tractor on the edge of the lawn! We couldn't get him off it!! A true rustic gem in the heart of the Berkshires! 5 minutes from Williamstown and 20 minutes into MASS MoCA, North Adams. If you're looking for a peaceful quiet and (unbelievably) private place for a few days, look no further. Thanks, Kate! Hopefully we'll get to stay again sometime!
Kate was very friendly and answered all of our initial email questions promptly. She gave clear directions prior to our arrival about details and expectations of staying at the house. When we arrived, there was a friendly welcome letter and helpful information about the area. Everything was tidy and all the beds were freshly made. There was a closet full of extra sheets, blankets, pillows, etc. There were plenty of towels, as well. The kitchen was well stocked with everything one might need if you forgot something. There were all sizes of pots, pans, bowls, dishes, etc. to accommodate large crowds. There are many common areas of the house that are lovely for gathering, as well as several private bedrooms. The historical artifacts...books, paintings, pictures, antiques....make this house interesting and fun for all ages. We had memorable evenings gathered around the fireplace after chilly days of skiing. It is a charming old house with creaky wood floors and a draft here and there, but had adequate heat and abundant hot water. I might add we had 3 straight days of record low temps! This is a great place to stay for a large group who wants to kick back in an informal, rustic setting.
Our stay at The Farmhouse was wonderful for our large family. The sleeping quarters were comfortable and there was plenty of room for any one of us to have some quiet time. The Farmhouse is rich in history and led to meaningful discussions with the children. The children loved the large yard with a badminton net already set up for us, firepit, and a great ping pong table in the basement . It was close to white water rafting, rail trails for biking, and Zip line adventures. The house was very clean and stocked with extra towels/bedding if needed. Out host, Kate was very helpful and timely in her responses. It was the perfect place for our family to gather together. We would definitely stay there again.
