The cottage is up a private lane from Rt 7 in South Williamstown.  It cannot be seen from the road which adds to its charm.  In front of the cottage are 6 large pine trees planted by Thomas A. Hart, Sr. in honor of the 6 grandchildren he had at that time.  The cottage has three bedrooms (one queen size bed, one with twin beds and one with a double bed) , two baths and a large open gathering space.  A new wood stove provides special ambiance.  A spacious deck is in front and a peaceful pond is a short hike away. The house was very comfortable, well-situated and really perfect for a low-key Fourth of July weekend. It was incredibly close to Williamstown and within easy driving distance to Tanglewood and other Berkshires attractions. Kate is very easy to deal with and left maps and info about local attractions - plus, the internet worked very well!

We had a wonderful time and stay at the cottage. Perfect location and family friendly accommodations.

Great farmhouse with everything we needed for our family to enjoy our trip. It's quiet and secluded even though it's on hwy 7 because it's tucked away in the woods. We were able to use both the kitchen and the BBQ outside and it was close to Williams college. Appreciate the history behind the farmhouse and would stay there again. Thanks Kate!

My friends and I stayed at Kate's lovely home for the weekend. Kate was very concise in providing me all the information prior to my trip. The house itself was gorgeous, situated very conveniently and we had a great weekend. Thanks Kate!

We just returned from a 4 night stay. Loved the layout of this house with it's north and south bedroom wings, and the large living room (with wood stove) in-between. Vaulted ceilings throughout and outside there's plenty of flat lawn space to let the kids runabout while you're barbecuing on the deck. Our 3 year old's "favorite" attraction was the old Ford 1500 tractor on the edge of the lawn! We couldn't get him off it!! A true rustic gem in the heart of the Berkshires! 5 minutes from Williamstown and 20 minutes into MASS MoCA, North Adams. If you're looking for a peaceful quiet and (unbelievably) private place for a few days, look no further. Thanks, Kate! Hopefully we'll get to stay again sometime!

Kate was amazingly responsive, never leaving us to wonder about any detail we had a question about. Originally we booked this house with 2 other couples to attend a weekend music festival at MASS MoCA in North Adams. We had hoped to be close enough to go back & forth if we wanted, but this was the closest place that met our needs. It turned out to be perfect, even tho the others ended up canceling. It is an older, simple but very comfortable house typical of a family summer "camp" as we call them in Maine. It was great to come back to every night, rural & quiet, but minutes to Williamstown, Williams College, and North Adams. Because it was only 2 if us, we closed off the wing with 2 bedrooms & used the bedroom next to the kitchen & living room. Perfect in every way!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Kate's clean and welcoming B&B. We had all the space, peace and quiet we needed. We also liked the location - close to MOCA, the Clark and Lenox. We hope to be back.
